Shoulder surgery
is the art of
repairing the
injured shoulder
joints. The shoulder
is a moveable ball
connected to a
socket joint, which
is able to stay
contained within the
joint because of the
group of muscles
called the rotator
cuff. When these
rotator cuff muscles
get damaged, there
is a possibility of
pain and discomfort
in the shoulder.
Usually, when the
shoulder is
affected, the
patient may have a
difficult time
laying on it or
using it for certain
activities. Shoulder
surgery is designed
to repair the
damaged shoulder and
then follow up with
a rehabilitation
program, which
continues until the
patient is back to
his/her normal
activities.
